Seventh Circuit Affirms $1.5 Million Verdict for Terminated Forklift Dealer

The National Law Journal reported the "liberal view" the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals has given the Illinois Franchise Act in its affirmance of a $1.5 million verdict awarded to Gary Leydig's client, To-Am Equipment Company. Mr. Leydig was quoted in the article as saying the ruling "definitely broadens for distributors the definition of who is a franchise.
